Urgent Attention Needed
I know a good deal of architects (and architecture students) read this this blog, so I decided to post this...
Above is Richard Neutra's Kronish House which is slated for demolition unless the City of Beverly Hills is persuaded to intervene by August 28 - Please read more at Los Angeles Conservancy web site and consider helping.
Or you can purchase it for $14m.

Golden Sections
For a while I've been wanting to write a book devoted to amazing section and digrams - well that's not happening anytime soon so I stated a new blog: Golden Sections.
It's still in its infancy - so if you have any contributions let me know.

NLC Design #16: No More NLC Design
Well not exactly... I've decided to move all non-laser cut stuff to my own blog and (maybe) do NLC roundup here.
Does that sound good?

New Look
I finally updated the look of TLC (and I'm going to have a consistent width to the photos too) - doesn't it look great?!
I removed the Instructable about laser cutting, but I put a link to it in "Ideas and Instruction" to the right.

NLC Design #14: The George Bed
In this edition of NLC Design I am featuring a work of my own. I designed this bed as an upgrade from my twin and was planning on making it, documenting it and producing an Instructable - well, that didn't happen. I have had no time to make the bed, but I did make the accompanying instruction which are available for download here as a pdf.
The George Bed was designed to be an inexpensive ($260- in materials), do-it-yourself alternative to the very expensive Georg Nelson Case Study Bed.
If you do make it, please send me pics!

Diamond Diamonds
I'm not sure if that is the title of this sculpture from Carin Mincemoyer, but the it is very cool. The diamonds were laser cut by Laser Lab Studios which were then lit with LEDs.
