Shelf Help

Well, I'm back from a week break for finals with something really cool for you.
This wall mounted bird comes from Daniel Howard of Shelf Help at Etsy.com - and he has generously extended a 15% discount to all TLC Readers, just use coupon code TLCBLOG15.
Seems like a good opportunity to get some Christmas shopping out of the way.

Man Bracelet
Yeah, I know, real men don't wear mracelets (or mandles, and murses for that matter), but this is kind of cool. It's from Riley who recently shared his work with me. see more at Thingiverse.com and his blog and Flickr page.

These stencils seem to be laser cut and etched from MDF or Masonite by thisisdefinive on Flickr.com and thisisdefinitive.com.

The ANNEX Chair

I while back I created this "chair" called the ANNEX for the AIA Chair Affair competition - I didn't win. It was featured on ReadyMade where you can read more about it. I reticently made a new laser cut Masonite seat to replace the cardboard one which wasn't strong enough (but conformed to the Chair Affair rules) and it is going to be featured at the OBJCT GALLERY in January - I'll keep you posted.

Back At Otis
Yes, I started back at school Monday and I've already dropped off and picked up my laser cutting projects. Pictured above are the parts for my lamp and the new seat for the ANNEX Chair. Not pictured is the cover for my portfolio (I left that at school because I need to drop it off to be printed and bound), but the laser etched Aspen wood veneer looks so amazing!

Laser Cut Apples
These are by Artschollgirl done for within(Reason). I hate to say this, but wouldn't these be an amazing decorations in little kids' room? Maybe different fruits that help them learn their ABCs? Different animals? Just a thought. And click-the-pic to see more at flickr.
