Wargaming Proxies
These were laser cut by Dr. Offset (using Ponoko) for the game Gruntz.
Thanks to Kristen Turner for for giving me a heads up.

The Sun Cutter Project
Markus Kayser - Sun Cutter Project from Markus Kayser on Vimeo.
This amazing work from Markus Kayser was shown to us by our friend Sascha Grant.
So if the standard type of laser cutting is too fast pased, but you need more excitement than watching paint dry, the Sun Cutter may be for you!

NLC Design #13: Help for Joplin
I have a friend, his name is Lemonade The Unicorn, and he is from Joplin Missouri...
If you would like to help Lemonade help Joplin you can, by:
making a $10- donation through the Salvation Army by texting the word Joplin to 80888.
donating to the Salvation Army directly,
donating to the Red Cross,
or by visiting RebuildJoplin.org.

Open Source Algorithm
Our friend Paul Kinsky uploaded his algorithm that generates sheets of polygons and connectors that can be laser-cut and connected with cotter pins to form arbitrary 3d surfaces. It takes .OBJ files as input and outputs DXF files.

NLC Design #11: Vivian Maier
I'm not sure if I have mentioned this, but in August I will be moving from Southern California to Chicago to get my master's degree (in architecture), and I have decided to rejuvenate my personal blog (some how it is still alive and kicking) by taking constant photos of the new city I will be living in and post one per day - the best seven per week.
I was inspired the Chicago street photographer Vivian Maiers' amazing work - read more here.

Catan Board 2
I previously posted about a laser cut Catan Board here.
This one above was made by Shandy Brown and was made to fit Mayfair's 4th edition tiles.
Read more about it here.
